Climbing the Ventoux, the temperature reached 39 degrees! the 93 or so miles to the bottom of the mountain were very up and down, but a great ride. I lost around a hour at the third climb after breaking a spoke :-(, but managed to get going again on a borrowed wheel from Mavic and start clawing back some time. Until the Ventoux.... Riders were crawling up, walking, sitting, throwing-up and collapsing in the heat. It took me 3 hours, but I got there! Brutal!
