While we were away for a week running our Tour of Andalucia holiday the snow has disappeared very quickly here in the Oisans. I have done a couple of cycle rides training for a forthcomming Sportive in April and the weather has been truly beautiful. Climbs like Alpe d’Huez are obviously open all year along with the other climbs such as the Col d’Ornon and the Col de la Morte. The big climbs such as the Col de la Croix de Fer and Galibier are still very much snow bound and will be well into May and June. There is still plenty of riding to be had here and we have a fair few guests staying with us at the end of March and into April.
