We had a mini timetrail up Alpe d’Huez yesterday with 5 of our guests. We set off at 5 minute intervals from the roundabout at the bottom just outside Bourg d’Oisans. 61 year old Steve Berry aim was to beat Sheryl Crows time up and he managed this with an 86:46, Australian John Allison on one of our hire bikes managed a 65:49 , Steve Wood who has only been riding for a few months managed a 68:16 and John Keitley despite it being a rest day (as he prepared for La Marmotte next week) and riding up with Steve Berry for a while managed 62:00 flat (his record is actually 49 minutes !) For the record I managed a new fastest time for myself of 56:43
