While are 9 guests were tackling the Alpe d’Huzes charity event in perfect weather, Helen was up in Alpe d’Huez in the massage tent (20 massages in one day from Helen! ) I cycled up Alpe d’Huez capturing some video and photos from the event.
Alpe d’Huzes is a huge Dutch charity event ran in June each year for a Dutch Cancer Charity . The idea being you ride up Alpe d’Huez as many times as you can but at least 6 times over 17 hours. The 6 times is apparantly the amount of time Lance Armstrong climbed it a day on his comeback after cancer – while training in the area. The event can be tackled in solos or teams. At time of doing this video the event had already raised 5.1 million euros !!. Tour d’Oisans had 9 people staying with us this year.
